How the Volume Converter Works
This tool instantly converts between all major volume and capacity units: milliliters, centiliters, deciliters, liters, cubic meters, fluid ounces (US and UK), gallons (US and UK), pints, and US cups.
Conversion Factors Table
| Unit | Equivalence in ml |
|---|---|
| 1 milliliter (ml) | 1 ml |
| 1 centiliter (cl) | 10 ml |
| 1 deciliter (dl) | 100 ml |
| 1 liter (L) | 1,000 ml |
| 1 cubic meter (m³) | 1,000,000 ml |
| 1 US fl oz | 29.57 ml |
| 1 UK fl oz | 28.41 ml |
| 1 US gallon | 3,785.41 ml |
| 1 UK gallon | 4,546.09 ml |
| 1 US pint | 473.18 ml |
| 1 US cup | 236.59 ml |
US vs UK Units
US and UK volume units differ, which often causes confusion. The US gallon (3,785 ml) is smaller than the UK gallon (4,546 ml). Consequently, fluid ounces, pints, and cups also have different values in the two systems.
